Okay, let's talk about the Foo Fighters because they really created a massive impact on Ireland this week.
I mean, 80 people feels like an overestimation of how many people are in the church, to be honest.
You are spending not one day, but multiple days potentially sitting in front of your laptop for hours trying.
And it's just so random as to who actually manages to get it.
There's no way to buy tickets in person anymore.
And there's a lot to be said for just being able to go and queue.
And like, yes, obviously that's not going to work for everyone, but it feels just a little bit more democratic, I suppose, than the way things are happening at the moment.
Although...
you know I suppose people would argue that there's you know it's random selection when you're on Ticketmaster as well but it's not because of tiered pricing and and uh all the rest so yeah I don't know I would like a bit more of this too I don't think it's the only way but it would be nice if it was in the mix no exactly it feels like it feels like a more direct way for acts like this to communicate with their fans and you know I think that that sort of person who will last minute you
Well, it's because they sold the tickets at the Olympia.

So I can understand why you're getting confused.
It's because all the venues are basically owned by the same people.

Yeah, because they sold them from the Olympia box office, but the gig itself is in the Academy.
Yeah, people used to sit on camp chairs like all night to wait to buy tickets.
Not that I'd be particularly enthusiastic about doing that, but at least if you really wanted something, you knew that you could go and do that and you would get a ticket.
Truly.
And okay, this story is a couple of weeks old, but I missed it when it happened.
