Yeah, we did.
We did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
probably keeping an intense level of pressure on the government and on the FAI all the way up until this game is played for as long as it is you know scheduled yeah well I mean obviously we'll be coming back to this because this is not the last time that it will make the news um let's move on so there are new rent rules coming in and there has been much discussion of these rent rules and the impact that they will have or won't have uh can you fill us in a little bit on that
I mean, if you look at the last 10 years, like, I think I moved out of a really nice one-bedroom apartment on Capel Street 11 years ago, maybe.
And my rent there, I think, for the whole apartment, I think, was 950.
It was certainly around a grand.
Like...
You think that rent hasn't increased by more than 25% in those 11 years?
No way.
Like, I don't know what that apartment's going for, but I would argue, I mean, it's definitely more than two grand, I would think.
And also, there's the question... Sorry.
There's also the question of evictions.
Like, I know The Sun reported a few days ago that there were 36 families facing eviction from one estate in Wexford.
36 families in one single estate ahead of the new kind of laws coming in.
So, like...
You know, this is already impacting people in a horrendous fashion.
Can you imagine six, like that many families in one estate?
One woman in The Sun's report, Anne-Marie Lamb says, I've lived here for years.
