Oi, that's another thing to speak to couple privilege because, you know, I'm on my fucking soapbox about how, like, much harder it is being single.

We were so lucky on that trip because we were always in our couples.

We either got to stay in private rooms with our partners or the four of us would be in bunk bedrooms together, which would pretty much take up... Like, as a single person travelling, you don't have that privilege.

Yeah.

I don't know, that's just, you know, it's fucking tough out there being a single girl because you can't afford to have the private room on your own.

Now, yeah, but like when you're backpacking.

That's why I think it's still even good even if you are travelling to travel with a buddy.

Even just for like, I think travelling on your own is such an enriching experience and I'm glad I've like done little bits and pieces of it.

But like I just, it is so exhausting.

Like I remember when I was in Medellin and I just remember every single time because we were battlers and we didn't have like iPhone reception.

We just had like Wi-Fi.

Every time I would, like, get in a taxi to go somewhere, which was mainly only to and from the airports because I was kind of staying in walking distance of things, but I'd have to, like, text my partner, I'm leaving the hostel now and that kind of a thing so that he knew if I, like, went missing for half a day that where I was.

Yeah, there was no location sharing back then.

No.

Like, that's so crazy.

It does and I think as well because on that trip in particular…

And like I get it because you and I were kind of like the girls and slash the more fussy ones of the group.
