It almost sounded fake, high-pitched and squeaky. But then came the unmistakable ricochet of something hitting metal and we knew that it was gunfire.

Oh, my God, the Kiwi guy turned to us and suddenly, very awake but very calm, said, if this bus stops, are you ready to hand over your valuables? We're being hijacked. Cheers, babes. Let's do it. Number one, the bus that didn't stop. My friends and I were travelling throughout South and Central America and boarded what we think will just be another long, uncomfortable overnight bus ride. The four of us travelling together were seated downstairs on the bus next to a laid-back Kiwi guy we'd only just met before boarding in Guatemala City.
At some point in the middle of the night... Oh, my God, I've been on this exact bus, babe. Oh, really? Yeah, it's got Guatemala City down to... Somewhere in Costa Rica. Wow. Don't take me back. How does that make you feel? Cold, actually, because the buses are fucking freezing. They are actually freezing.

I remember that. You need almost like two blanket fives. Quite how I'm feeling right now, actually. I'm quite fresh. Are you? I've got jeans on.

Boots, loafers. Sometimes with my loafers on, I just don't feel like rocking an MJ vibe today.
No, I feel like Michael Jackson say mine. I put mine on yesterday and felt the same, weirdly. And then I can't wear joggers with like a leather jacket. That's a weird flex. And I don't like wearing joggers with light jeans. I feel like that's a weird vibe.
Yeah. See, I don't know. It depends on the jogger. Yeah, joggers and light jeans, very dad.
I know, I'm like, what shoes are you meant to wear?
Like a more sporty sneaker, like Puma's or like your Tiger's.
Yeah, but sometimes I feel like they really dress down a vibe. Yeah. Sometimes I feel like that's it. Like I'm wearing a leather jacket. Like I can't wear like sneakers.

The only other brand I wear. Yeah, true. Yeah, no, I'm actually having a weird shoe thing as well. But do you know what? At this change of every season, hot to cold, cold to hot, I go through this.

And I, yeah. I will say, babe, that is an unusual shoe for that outfit. I know. Well, it's actually not. It's just like a thong. It's a tiny heel.
