So I'd be saying I'd be going back to the vet, unfortunately, but asking maybe for further testing or considering something like one of these allergy medications and seeing if that might help with the ears.

So whilst we may think she's not incontinent, she may be struggling a little bit with holding it at certain times.

We'd also in older pets start looking at other issues such as kidneys or potentially diabetes coming into play.

If they haven't had it checked, probably checking the urine as a start point and taking that into the vets and getting that looked at and potentially just getting some bloods run, some geriatric bloods run would be no harm.

My dog's 12 and I get his bloods done annually just to check everything's still ticking along.

Collies in particular are quite prone to anxiety as we know they were bred for herding sheep and we now keep them in environments that maybe don't give them quite the same mental stimulation that they would get from working the farm.

So we know they're a breed that are prone to anxiety.

So whilst we might think about anxiety being a problem in people, it definitely can be an issue in dogs as well.

But I think getting to a behaviourist, getting to some sort of dog trainer and just trying to break that cycle, if it's a certain walk that's causing the issue, maybe changing the route you're walking to just see if that helps.
