And in the short term, using something like a long line just so that the dog can get some running time
but isn't actually completely unrestrained so that you can just reel them back in.
So this comes back to that point we made at the start about a good skincare routine.
So it's a good ear care routine, but not waiting till the problem happens, not waiting till the wax builds up, but actually cleaning those ears once or twice a week.
There's plenty of ear cleaning products out there.
Again, I'd be advocating getting one from the vet rather than one over-the-counter, but there's plenty of products that can keep the ears clean without causing more issues, so...
I think, as we say with babies and toddlers, it's a phase.
And unfortunately, it's a phase that you kind of just have to endure to some extent.
The nipping will.
It will calm down with time.
Potentially it's a boredom thing or an attention thing.
So whilst they have lots of toys, are they playing with them with the toys or are they leaving them with the toys?
So just a little bit more mental stimulation maybe.
Really hard at that age because you can't be walking them that far, but get them into the garden and play with them as much as you can.
Potentially, at least 16 or 20 weeks, you could get some nipping.
Thick socks and encouraging, you know, hands out the way.
