He is kind of thinking about other things in life.
He's got his GT racing team.
He's off racing at the Nordschleife quite soon.
He's been doing some events through this break as well.
He's got a young daughter who's just turned one.
So there is a lot more to his life than Formula One.
And he kind of summed up by saying, if I'm not enjoying what I'm doing here in F1, then I'm obviously going to think about the future.
I'm going to think about what I'm doing.
So I'm curious to see what Max does.
I think that these changes hopefully will be a bit helpful in terms of making him feel more at one with the car, a bit more comfortable.
But ultimately, if it's still not giving him the buzz that he really wants, then yeah, I think he's definitely going to have problems.
some strong thoughts about his future there is obviously the competitive side of it as well if red bull were giving him a winning car right now would he be thinking a bit differently potentially but ultimately he is an out and out racer he wants to be enjoying what he's doing and uh right now i just don't think he's getting the the right vibe that he wants from f1 if if the choice was out of the sport or into another team what's more likely do you think for max
I think given Max is a man of his word, as far as I found him and very direct, I think it would be more likely he'd be out of the sport.
I think that even if he were in a world championship winning car, yes, he'd obviously be happier, but it still wouldn't be fulfilling him.
I think in the way that he really wants F1 to be doing, he's not a driver who's obsessed with racing.
records or becoming the greatest of all time statistically or anything like that he's achieved pretty much everything he wants to in f1 already so i think that if he maybe said right i'm going to take a break for a bit wait and see what changes with the cars and once it gets back to a place i'm really happy with it then come back i could maybe see that happening but uh i really do hope not because he's a great driver great champion and someone i think we really want on the grid at f1
I'd be surprised.
I think Mercedes, they did look really, really strong.
As you said, they did dominate those first three races.
And I think that it's going to take a lot for other teams to catch up with them.
