and love playing as her and as Sheik in those games, it's often true that she is just busy doing something else and often something more important or meaningful than you as Link are doing.
And you just hear about the after effects.
Like Skyward Sword kind of has her completing dungeons ahead of you and you kind of like see the remnants of where she's been.
And that theming is really present in Ocarina of Time in a big way,
that I think is really narratively effective and powerful.
And having replayed it recently as an adult, I was surprised by how well that story still works, how well that twist still works.
And I think it's great.
I think it's a really wonderful story of, I agree, a platonic relationship that Link and Zelda have and a really meaningful and kind of magical, mystical relationship
relationship that they have where they feel sort of inextricably drawn to each other and to the the concept of saving hyrule in each of their respective ways and even though you don't always get to see how zelda is pulling it off you do understand that she's actually more important than you and i think that could actually be like a feminist lesson in its own way even though i think it'd be nice if we could play it ourselves one of these days
It's not really designed for that.
I'd say it's intentionally not designed for that.
And as Keza said, I actually think that's part of the charm of it is that it is like a legend as we know it in our world where there is no correct telling.
There are just many different versions of the story and they come together to be a melange of a truth that we understand.
