Doll, can I tell you a very fun fact about disability?
So as you know, 20% of Australians have disability, but of that 80 to 90% of people with disability have invisible disabilities.
chances are you've already dated someone with disability.
So don't get in your head as much about it.
You probably know heaps of people with disability.
You probably related to them.
You could be a disabled person yourself and you just don't know.
So I would say my advice to you is treat us like everybody else.
Have open communication.
Disabled people find that very sexy.
If you want to say, hey, I'm really excited to go on this date with you, but I'm not quite sure what the best language is or how to be respectful or like, you know, how do I meet your access requirements?
How can I help make this date enjoyable for you?
See what I mean?
Open communication.
We love it.
when you ask, but ask respectfully, ask kindly.
I would say maybe wait till the second or third date to ask why the person is disabled or what happened to them.
I think during those first three dates, they'll probably tell you themselves if they feel comfortable with you.
