So that was kind of the rationale.
And I mean, obviously, still, it's kind of downplaying how terrifying it is to quit a good job and jump into
uncertain, but, um, it was probably like, like minus the, the, the, the fear, it was like the most like liberating thing that I've ever done in my life.
Sure.
Yeah.
So the financing, uh, history of the company has been interesting for me in particular, because I don't have any prior to this.
I don't have a background in finance, but I was a psychology major.
And I think, uh, I think I got like a C in accounting.
So I don't have any kind of strong foundation for finance, but I've had an extreme crash course on how business finance works in navigating everything we've had to navigate growing the company.
So now I feel like I have a very, very strong understanding of all of the various aspects of financing and business.
And it's funny because, you know,
since neither my partner or I had any prior real hardcore business experience, we were just kind of navigating the company based on what we thought made sense.
And to us,
We didn't really understand.
We had no familiarity with the concept of burning cash to grow a business like the whole Silicon Valley.
We're going to go raise 10 million bucks and we don't know how we're going to make money, but we're going to grow our user base.
and figure it out later.
That was not something that we were really even familiar with.
So we just always thought that businesses existed to make more money than they spent.
So that's how we ran the business.
