I love to be in my Lana Del Rey moment.

Well, fluorescence is means to blossom, to bloom, to develop richly and fully.

Obviously, I know that.

And that's very much what the album is about, really.

I think it is about a journey into love, into happiness, into peace.

And those are things that are quite hard to write about, I think.

And...

As a result, it's rarer to get albums and music written about being happy or being content.

And so that was very much something that I was not grappling with, but with the whole process of making Fluorescence, it was...

maybe it's probably it was a harder album maybe to finish and to write than goodrich because it's so easy to write songs that are really dramatic and and upset and so full of emotion that it's so close to the surface and i think happiness is a much more complicated and quiet thing to write about and it's quite hard to write songs about like little quiet moments so

But that was very much my intention with Fluorescence.

And it was the life I have been living and was living at the time in the making of.

And so I knew I really wanted the album to represent that.

And it was sort of a challenge to myself to make an album that felt lighter and especially seeing as The Good Witch was so far from that.

And I knew that my fan base loved that.

And so it was sort of a cool challenge to make an album that felt very different to that and very true to who I am and how I was living.
