He's always finding new artists and new music, and he's really, really passionate about it.
So sometimes he's sending me stuff I've not heard of, and yeah, that's just one of his many, many genius qualities.

I think so much of my music and how I make music is with other people.
And whoever they are, if they're Ed or if they're another one of my favorite collaborators, then you often have a... Most of the time, you have a relationship that is built upon that.
And so there is a real trust.
And also, it sounds funny, but if you're another songwriter and we're writing a song together, there's this inherent understanding that we both know that sharing is part of the job.
If anything, sometimes it's easier to share with those people than with friends or family because it's sort of...
and understanding that there's a purpose for what you're saying and you're making something together.
And so, yeah, I think in a funny way, that's often why it's easier to be honest or easier to share things with people you've just met, strangers.
You might meet a stranger and you've never worked and you've never seen each other's faces, and within two hours, you're like, so when I was 12?
And I actually think that's kind of a great part of it.
Yeah, and it's part of the process.
And we're all there to make something that feels honest or interesting or fun or unique.
Yeah, and that's what we're there to do, and that's what we all love doing.
And some rooms feel easier to do that than other rooms, for sure.
