So I think you're right, Suzette.
And here's where self-interest has a positive side, because if people start to realize this guy's not so popular anymore, maybe it would be OK to not
To jump ship.
To his bidding.
That's the first sign of hope, I think, at least in the Republican Party, that maybe some people realize that his train is not a good train to be hooked to for much longer.
Yes.
So, yeah.
So as I was listening to Suzette, first, we obviously need a new story.
And the good news is we have an old story to go back to.
For thousands of you, well, first of all, if you look at the rest of nature, of which we are a part of nature, one of the greatest tragedies of humanity is we've forgotten we're part of nature, not apart from nature.
So if you look at all the rest of nature and ask, what is its purpose?
And of course, we can't ask it.
We can only observe it.
So if you observe the rest of the living system, you realize it has one purpose, which is to extend and improve life itself.
So we look at how nature acts.
It acts as if its purpose is to make sure life continues and that it improves and becomes more complex.
And for thousands of years, that was humanity's sort of
own story because we lived in small tribes connected to nature and we knew we had to keep life going and improve life from a community, not an individual perspective.
So as Suzette said, one of the tragedies of humanity now is we define happiness primarily from the happiness of the individual.
rather than the community.
