I pleaded with him to take the kids to come and see me, even when I made that horrible decision.

to um finally go to the airport the night before i went to the airport he had came to speak with me and he had left the apartment door unlocked and um that morning i he was to take the kids to me and he didn't he refused again and i was i was in a very very bad emotionally unstable state and i knew that the only really option i had rang the department of foreign affairs and um

I just knew that I had to get out of that situation.

Because it was near St.

Patrick's Day, I couldn't get anyone.

I was unable to reach anyone at the embassy, the Irish embassy in Cairo.

And I remember speaking, I think it was to like.

possible day as an officer.

I don't remember the words, but I can remember making that phone call.

But when I went to the airport, I went to the airport early on the morning of the 16th of March.

And I had my family member book my flight.

I wasn't even able to book the flight.

I was that traumatized.

And then I

I waited in the airport for, he had 12 hours to come and take the two boys, you know, and to negotiate with me.

And I pleaded with his family to let him, to make him see sense to take that.

Even if he wanted to stay, that was fine.

But obviously the two kids were to come back to Ireland with me.

But even they were very, very difficult as well.

Incredibly difficult kids.
