And the benefit of hindsight, you see, I could have gone into a doctor, you know, one of the rugby doctors and said, look, feeling a bit under the weather.

And then you get a note from the doctor and that gives you about a 3% margin.

But luckily, that lot cost me a year, which meant I extended my university engagement by another year.

Well, I mean, look, everything happens according to God's will, according to the plan that's way above me.

I'm just a pawn, happy pawn in that circumstance.

And what did your Friday to Sunday look like?

Well, Friday often we'd travel if we had a game for Otago.

But in the first year, I only picked up a handful of games at the end of the year.

Yeah.

But thereafter, it was a travel day and then sport and a few beers with the boys, as was the want of the team back then being sponsored by Spades.

Yeah.

And then Sunday, if it was a local game, we may actually on occasion treat ourselves at the Gardies to a few more.

Oh, yeah.
