I remember the Gardies opening at 11 and there were certain times where you just were feeling so bloody bad you had to go and have a hair at a dog.

So, no, I was lucky in that –

You could really only let your hair down once a week.

Whereas there were a lot of people, you know, first time away from home.

And they were your mates, was it, often?

Yeah, well, a few of them were, you know.

Most of them had discipline, you know, to become.

I always think that if you're on a mate or you're on a woman who you admire and love, and I put love in the mate category too.

Your foundation stone, so your values, your morals, your integrity, all has to be solid.

Yeah.

Then you can build the house.

Yeah.

If you've got a shit foundation, doesn't matter what you build on it, it's going to crumble.

Yeah, yeah.

So all of those guys had good discipline.

There were a few who were less disciplined, you know, but typically we'd all enjoy a night out once a week.

Some would indulge slightly more often.

And, you know, there's a few of them in our group, but, you know, they're starting to –
