I think there was one or two other stupid bloody things we did.

That was when we convinced TVNZ that we were something that we weren't.

Not for us.

And it being our second gig, you know, they would always firstly recoil at the fact that somebody could dare turn down TVNZ.

And so the more you said that, the more they paid you.

So by the end of it, I think Ritchie and I were traveling around the world first class, staying in the best hotels and, you know, earning not much shy of Paul Holmes for doing like a couple of hours of TV a week, you know.

So that was hugely gratifying.
