So we made a big progress in that regard.
We want Venezuela to move in a certain direction because not only do we think it's good for the people of Venezuela, it's in our national interest.
It either touches on something that's a threat to our national security or touches on something that's either beneficial or harmful.
So obviously I'm very involved in this.
Well, of course, I mean, I think everyone knows I'm pretty involved on politics in this hemisphere.
Obviously, the Secretary of State and National Security Advisor are very involved in all these.
The oil arrangement that we've made with PDVSA on their sanctioned oil, that they can't move.
Understand, they are not generating any revenue from their oil right now.
They can't move it unless we allow it to move because we have sanctions, because we're enforcing those sanctions.
This is tremendous leverage.
We are exercising it in a positive way.
The United States has brazenly resorted to the use of force against Venezuela and demanded that America first be applied when Venezuela disposes of its own oil resources.
This is a typical act of bullying, a serious violation of international law, and a grave infringement on Venezuelan sovereignty that also severely undermines the rights of Venezuelan people.
I would like to stress that the legitimate rights and interests of China and other countries in Venezuela must be protected.
The United States has long imposed illegal unilateral sanctions on Venezuela's oil sector and has recently brazenly used force against Venezuela, dealing a severe blow to the country's economic and social order and also threatening the stability of global production and supply chains.
China has already issued strong condemnation in this regard.
I would like to reiterate that cooperation between China and Venezuela is a cooperation between sovereign states and is protected by international law and laws of both countries.
