It's its own country essentially, but I learned so much from being from there.
And then, yeah, that community has always taken really good care of me.
And so I just think that I learned
I'll never be able to repay them.
But their advocacy for themselves, me starting as like an ally and then I came out two years ago as bi and just being embraced even more so.
And I just always say like my crowds at my shows, because I've made those decisions over time, I've lost fans.
But you solidify something that's really authentically yours and there's community out there and just people are โ
They feel safe and the crowd looks diverse and they're safe to be there.
They're not freaked out about leaving the show and going to the parking lot and being cornered.
Hopefully we've run all of the assholes out by now.
Yeah, there's just such a lack of curiosity.
And I know it's sort of a cliche general statement, but there is so much repressed homosexuality within those communities.
And it's why they're so obsessed with tamping down on their rights is because they are so jealous that these people live in their complete, authentic, truthful selves.
That's really โ they're super envious of that I think.
And my family โ I've got a lot of Republicans in my family and I just think being from there but really like challenging them since I was little and them hearing me out too because it's like I'm 11.
