One of the biggest things that crushes our ability to do deep focus work is interruptions and distractions. And when you start setting those notifications to off, like you're going to feel a little uncomfortable at first. You're like, oh, am I not important? No one's reaching out to me. Is it too quiet? But I will tell you, you'll get your core work done

It's actually the framing that's really important is you take four minutes at the end of your day, So before you wrap up for the day and not to wait until five, six, seven, eight o'clock when your brain's freaking toast and you're running on fumes, do it like after lunch at like one or two or something like that. Take four minutes and map out your success plan for the following day.

so fast and then you'll have so much more space and bandwidth to play and have fun and interact with people and have real conversations and not be toast at the end of your day. So that's one thing. The other thing is I always advise people to make a success plan, not a to-do list. So success plan, it's not just semantics.

And what are the one to three, not 15, not 27, what are the one to three really high value projects, tasks, to-dos that you really do need to get done and have those on that list only. And a success plan rather than a to-do list, first of all, it frames you up to have a successful day.
