Yes, I know you love the Kylie documentary.
Miranda Reynolds and various others actually want to know, watching the Kylie Netflix documentary, one of the most striking things is all the incredible use of archive footage.
It made me wonder who's capturing all of that material at the time and who was thinking about its future value.
Is there now a more conscious effort to preserve those moments properly, knowing they could become hugely valuable years later?
Well, that's what Adam Curtis always says, that footage stops becoming useful once the smartphone comes along because people are so aware of being filmed and they're performing and you don't have the sense that you're just being given a backstage glimpse.
It's much more like it's a performance.
Because there's a lot of waiting.
That's the thing.
