And there are some states, there's the federal NICS database that prohibit a legal firearms purchase in a licensed dealer if they're in that database.

I think where the sort of much broader question of gun regulations intersects this kind of prevention work is fairly obvious. If we had more effective gun regulations, that would be a tool that could be more effective in the setting of violence prevention. In other words, you've got an individual you're worried about.
