Yeah, and I mean, look, I understand a lot of Cubs fans were frustrated and concerned going into yesterday's game that they were 4-10 to start the season.
But I mean, honestly, there's going to probably be more 4-10 stretches over 10-game windows over the course of the season.
And I think the fact that they didn't completely bury themselves because of pretty good starting pitching and overall solid defense, that there's going to be times where
offenses naturally kind of have the ebbs and flows of the season.
But I mean, you, you talk to a card council, you talk to the players in the clubhouse and, you know, there's just confidence that it's going to get going.
Like there's too many good hitters.
And there's the underlying metrics of, like you mentioned, like the hard hit rate, you know, drawing walks, seeing a lot of pitches.
Like there's a lot of reason to believe that like this offense is going to get going.
And obviously there were signs of that last night and,
obviously most teams are dealing with not hitting in great weather right now, but I feel like the Cubs in particular have dealt with some kind of extreme.
So I think as the weather gets better, you know, that's going to kind of even out more too.
So, you know, they have a lot of proven big league hitters in the lineup.
So, I mean, I think that's the biggest thing.
I think the consistency is going to come.
Individually, there's always guys that are going through a little slumper, tough stretch.
But I think for the most part, there's a lot of belief in this group within the clubhouse that the offense isn't going to be an issue long term.
Yeah, well, I mean, part of it's hard because obviously they haven't had, say, a Suzuki yet.
He's supposed to rejoin them on Friday and be done with his rehab assignment and come off the IL.
So, obviously, that really changes the dynamic in the top part of the lineup when you're adding another slugger like that.
