I'm probably going to get the blush.
I'm going to wait for that to gone 20% off space and K. So I think having like a focused list of things that you are going to let yourself buy, rather than again, like having the mindset, I'm not buying anything.
And I've seen a lot of like stuff, people doing like a no buy year where they're not going to buy a single thing this whole year.
I would way rather be measured about it and be like, okay, there are four things that we know are going to elevate your everyday life.
So get those four things.
Probably don't get them on day one because then you're probably going to be thinking you want other things.
But I like that feeling of like having four things I know I'm going to add to my life that are going to make me feel excited and abundant.
And then I don't feel like, I think it's the focus on those things that naturally make those other things go quiet.
Like the noise doesn't really hit me.
If you are...
untethered and you don't have a focus yes of course you like everything feels exciting and new yeah whereas if you're looking for a new lamp also you start seeing lamps everywhere and you get to choose what the actual perfect lamp is that you want exactly rather than just buying something there's this thing called um i don't know if i'm pronouncing it right but i think it's hedonic hedonic no hedonic adaptation no and basically what it means is that like your your body your nervous system
whether something really bad happens or whether something really good happens, it's really good at recalibrating you back to like zero again, which is why when you buy the thing that you think is going to make you feel so happy, the next day you like forgot about that thing and you want the next thing.
It's because of this adaptation that happens in your body that when you get the really good thing or you get the really bad thing, you recover back to like zero quite easily.
It's like that with everything, isn't it?
It's like when I have the house, when I have the job, when I have...
the partner when I have the whatever it's always you think the external stuff is gonna bring you the internal happiness no just never ever ever does it never does it also just comes back to what everyone always says about there's a threshold that you need for happiness and then above that it's it's not touching the sides
So I think for you figuring out what is that line of what's my baseline, everything else is going to investments.
Yeah.
How amazing.
Like figure out what your baseline is.
