And what a week it's been from fuel to fury to the fallout.
The government thought they had pulled back from the brink of all-out political chaos when they quelled protesters, cleared O'Connell Street of tractors, opened up the ports and announced half a billion euro off a rescue package for that industry.
But if they thought that was the end of their worries...
The political fallout was just beginning.
