And that'll be that.
But in that intervening time, instead of doing that, they come up with a better idea.
The people in California Forever discover that rather than having people vote on a new development in the middle of nowhere, if they get onto a city council of an existing city in Solano County...
and then convince them to incorporate a massive amount of land into the borders of that city and then develop it, that loophole doesn't need to go to a public vote.
Stage a hostile takeover of a local council.
Make that council absorb the land that they want to build the city on into its territory.
And then approve the construction of their town.
And they pick an absurd example.
They don't go to the biggest city in Solano County.
They go to Sassoon City, which is one of, if not the smallest city in Solano County.
It's got 30,000 people.
Again, compare that to the 400,000 people that are expected to move into California forever.
So I'm having a look at this, at the map, and Sassoon City seems to be like a couple of suburbs.
And if you look at a map of the proposal, you can see the comparative size of Sassoon compared to the area that they're expected to incorporate.
