So, you know, I think if he's batting 150 at the end of this, it does matter a little bit as far as it kind of gives the Pirates a little bit of leverage on making that decision that probably is ultimately going to be the decision.
But at the same time, he's flashed the big hits in the middle of this, and I think that means a lot.
You know, if there's one person I could be like, you have the power to give something to on that team, it would be just him to get a couple flares to fall and a little bit of luck at the plate.
I'm not saying he's been unlucky or whatever the case may be.
I haven't watched all the at-bats this spring.
But to get off to a good start, how about that?
You know, have a three for four in the opener.
It would be him.
And, you know, it's probably, you know, probably a big mental situation more than anything.
I mean, can you imagine how much
different advice and strategies.
And yeah, I see it happen with high school kids and college kids.
Can you imagine what this guy being the first pick in the draft and somebody who's so good defensively as a catcher, what he's getting to just to make them make them into that.
Two 20 hitter or even 200 hitter or two 40 hitter.
So I would guess a lot of it is just parsing, being a young guy parsing through all the mental hurdles that have gone on with just getting off to a tough start.
And, you know, I guess I don't forget how hard playing in the major leagues was.
So I feel for somebody like him, because I'm sure there's no doubt in my mind, he's working, probably working too hard, but, but like, he's not going to, this isn't going to not work because of that.
So I would guess, is it a mental like problem that sticks?
