You know, it'd be great to see him get off to a good start.
Unfortunately, when you look at the numbers, though, all the Pirate catchers are not hitting right now in the spring, except for Andy Rodriguez, kind of coming out of the blue, hitting home run yesterday in Baton 250.
So, you know, I know that I've heard that Davis is the preferred option to catch back there with those pitchers.
And when you're trying to win with pitching like the Pirates are,
you know, he's catching no matter what that number is.
Well, I would guess that, like, I'd love to know, like, the progression since the day they signed him, how many times they've changed things, how many times they've done things, you know, in this process.
And I think that
that can mess with somebody.
But at the same time, it's also, I know when I used to pitch, I'd kind of talk myself into, I'm struggling a little bit, I'd talk myself into something in my mechanics, just something with my leg lift or my setup or whatever the case may be, and it worked.
And all of a sudden, that got me back to being my natural self.
So, you know, there's two different avenues in this that they're trying to get him
to be that person, to get back to the person he was when he got drafted or spent some good years in the Meyer Leagues doing this.
But it can mess with you.
When you're always switching, it can.
But when you're not having success like he has, you're more apt to it, and you're going to kind of latch on, I would at least, latch on and believe in what the new thing is because β
you know, you're desperate to an extent to get the hitting.
He probably just needs a little bit of like forgetting what everybody says, just go up there, see ball, hit ball, but it's not that easy in the major leagues.
Well, he's an interesting, you know, he's an interesting spot in that rotation.
He kind of has some, you know, you have Jones coming back.
You have your two veterans with, I guess Skeens isn't a veteran, but like considered a veteran.
