There's a difference from all of us kind of knowing that versus them knowing that.
And, you know, you already have players who already, you know, some, and these are the ones that I would be worried about.
I mean, if you've got people, you've got a locker room full of players who don't know what their future is, and they look at it and say, hey, if this team's not even going to pay Chris Jones, they're not going to pay me.
So, I mean, you can't have a bunch of guys thinking that.
Like I said, I'm not saying it's worth $45 million.
I think they had a plan with Chris Jones in the sense that, okay, you know, we're going to have a big number for him, but you draft a guy like Omar Norman Lott, you draft a defensive tackle in 25 with the idea that as Chris starts to get more expensive and as he maybe declines a little bit, now you're supplementing him with somebody who's a whole lot cheaper.
So two players, I mean, are they giving you $45 million worth of value or $47 million of value if you want to throw in Omar's cost?
Probably not, but they're getting closer, was the theory.
And now some of it also is you've restructured that deal a couple of times, so you moved the money around.
So you're paying for this year some of Chris Jones that you really got in 23 and 24 rather than as much as you are paying for Chris Jones in 26.
So you've got to accept that a little bit.
You know, and you're going to have to take the bite at some point.
