No, because India's not playing, so why would it?

There's good news in the pace stocks with Cole Jamieson when I walk back from injury while Dean Foxcroft gets his first call-up.

But selection gets messy early with five players still tied up in the IPL and unavailable after the Ireland test.

Those players are Rach and Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Matthew Henry, Jameson and Zach Fowkes.

I feel like since, you know, the NRL and rugby league, they dictate the schedule.

NRL comes first, will fit state of origin, will fit the international window in, but because they're the biggest league in the world, they get to dictate where everything happens.

India run cricket anyway.

So why can't they just iron out the entire cricketing schedule for everyone?

Because they're in charge of cricket, but all they do is they just set it up for India.

But why not just look around the world and be like,

IPL's here, we don't schedule tests around this, we don't schedule series, it's a clear-out window.

They pretty much do.

The only reason these players aren't here is because I think the IPL wraps up in about a week.

Oh, right, so it's a timing.

Yeah, they just don't get them for the pre-tournament camp.

Yeah, but what I mean is they just seem to sort themselves out and then the rest of us are like, oh, New Zealand, Ireland, yeah, you're good, do whatever the fuck you want, we don't care.

Why can't they just cast their eye over everyone and just put them all into the right spot so we don't have to deal with this?

But they're all available for the England series, I assume.

Yeah, they are.
