A person's perception of their own worth.
Starts becoming a part of the public consciousness.
And I think I want to just kind of talk a little bit about where that phrase comes from.
Because it becomes so important.
Yeah, I do question where that came from.
Where did that phrase come from?
So Michael Pettit, our history professor, explained that in psychology, self-esteem goes back to 1890.
Called The Principles of Psychology.
which basically says that self-esteem is this thing, this self-worth that you have based on the things that you do, the things that you care about doing.
