But I mean, I hear you.
I do think, you know, just common sense wise, we can go we go look at the law and the process and try to.
get better data on this.
But if you've built an accessory dwelling unit and an in-law unit in your backyard, and somebody's not paying the rent, or they're being a bad actor, and this is, you know, your yard, your home, your primary residence, I do think you need the ability to tell the person that they've got to vacate the premise.
That being said, you need some kind of greatest period for the person to be able to pack up and go.

I will tell you, though, in a city like San Jose that is relatively suburban and sprawling, you've said you've been here.
It's, you know, a lot of single family home neighborhoods.
80 years are quite popular.
In fact, 22 percent.
I've noticed a lot of them.
22% of the new housing built in San Jose every year is ADUs.
They give people flexibility.
They can have a family member.
You can have your grandparent or your child returning from college who needs to save up in order to be able to break into the housing market.
They can create income for folks.
That flexibility has been really valuable to a lot of families, and I think we should encourage it.
Taxes are really high.
We have the second highest taxes in the country.
