And actually, that's part of my plan.
I put up my big housing plan on mayhemfromcalifornia.com, and it's my 15-point plan for how we unbreak the housing market in California.
One of the 15 points is to require that conforming projects for infill get that building permit within 30 days.
Yeah, totally.
I also think we're so risk averse and worried about litigation.
California is probably the most litigious place on earth that we're scared of ever making a mistake.
I mean, I would rather that we bias toward action when we have a crisis like our shortage of housing and our affordability crisis that's pushing working families to the brink, causing people to leave our state, creating so much stress and heartache for folks.
Let's bias toward action, particularly when you're in an urban area.
Let's build.
My sense is that in California, we do.
I mean, I'm always open to learning more and changing my opinion based on real data.
I mean, we have very strong renter or tenant protections.
So then that's too much.
Yeah.
And I think particularly so if it's a unit in your backyard.
Now, a lot of people who are building ADUs are building them for family members.
