No.
No.
Slow enough to catch with your hands. Now, if the story gets that basic fact wrong. How likely is it that other things are not quite what they seem high? There's also the fact that in the story, we hear two different accounts of what happened. One person tells us that all of them died in the fire that happened up in that cave.

Her brother tells us they escaped and ran and joined another tribe further to the west. I'm going to let you guys hear the rest of that argument in Friday's video because I can't make it now. I have to I have to lay everything out in order for it to make sense because there's a lot of melodical stuff. There's a lot of tribal relationship stuff.

But there's also you look at the new story and you see. You see comparisons trickle down between the two stories, and you can kind of understand how somewhere along the line, stuff from the new Zoho side of things maybe made it in to the city side of things and that it wasn't intentional. It was just kind of a mix up.

Also, there's some arguments that Sarah Winnemucca may have exaggerated her position within her tribe or her father's position within her tribe, the stories she had access to, things like that, which wouldn't be surprising. That happens all the time. It's you know, I think people get this idea in their heads that I tribal stories are more exaggerated than Western ones. They're generally not.

It's just that oftentimes there are more accounts of a given Western story. So it's easier to see the contradictions between them. And then you can kind of work your way through them, which is what I'm doing for the Vinland video. And oh my God. For two stories that are 97% the same thing, that 3% is the most painful 3% difference I've ever seen.

Well, for example... There's this guy Torvald. And in one story, he's in both stories. He dies in both stories. He dies much in the same way in both stories. But in one story, he's Eric the Red's son. And in another story, he's Eric the Red's son-in-law. And in one story, he goes on an expedition on his own. And in another story, he's just a part of someone else's.

And in one story, he's killed during an attack by an innumerable amount of Skrælings. And in another story, he's killed by one guy who has one foot.

And it kind of goes on like that. I think one of the big issues is everybody has this perception that Vinland is one spot. I think there are multiple Vinlands. There are so many weird things about this story. I wasted like four hours. I wouldn't say wasted necessarily, but I spent four hours looking at the map.
