Now, Hermes represented the messenger of

He's the messenger of that age.

Thoth was a messenger of an earlier age.

Does that make sense?

They're just different messengers of different ages.

That's an archetype that must always occur before the downfall of that civilization.

Always.

It emerges, like Neo emerges in the Matrix.

It has to emerge because everything gets threatened, right?

And so the archetype has to emerge to preserve the knowledge that is essential.

And I will reiterate this enough.

When these things are not followed, society goes into the darkness and destroys itself.

These are the fundamental core principles that must be adhered to.

Period.

And so what is Hermeticism?

It's simply the remnant philosophical and natural law understanding of how the universe works with its principles that survived thousands and thousands of years through mystery traditions and schools to get to where it is.

But we have to go over the history a little bit first because it's very sad what happened to it.
