I think your predecessor, Joe Duffy, had quite a chastening experience when women like myself tried to talk about the necessity for single-sex spaces for women.

It's always interesting to me why some stories are of interest and some are not.

I mean, there are decisions that are made by editors.

They pick the thing that is of interest to them.

I'm very surprised that it is not of interest to Ortingham that the Department of Education submitted plans for a block of toilets that were all single sex.

And then when they were delivered, they were not single sex, they were mixed.
