There's no way to memorize the entire list of anticholinergic drugs.
I haven't.
So you can Google this.
You can easily go to Google images and do a search for a robust list of anticholinergic medications.
Importantly, many of these medications are over the counter.
So you can be taking them without a doctor's prescription.
And if you take them chronically, you could potentially be increasing your risk for dementia.
It's important to state that the dose, the frequency, the cumulative effect of these drugs matters.
So even taking Benadryl now and then is not gonna do anything harmful to your brain.
So I would not worry about that.
Even taking it for a couple of months, likely not a big deal.
um the real concerns with chronic use overuse so i wouldn't worry about you know taking any of these drugs you know in in the acute time frame um it's chronic use where you really want to you know talk with your doctor about safer alternatives and then when it comes to allergies specifically newer generation allergy allergy drugs are pretty safe so like claritin zyrtec i believe allegra
They don't as easily pass the blood-brain barrier.
They're non-sedative.
They're not as strongly anticholinergic.
And so I would not worry about those.
Dose, frequency, context, all of that stuff.
Matters a lot.
So it's important not to, you know, not to be afraid.
But again, if you're taking drugs like, you know, the first generation diphenhydramamine, which is Benadryl, regularly, they have stronger anticholinergic activity.
