The CEO of Volkswagen has told a German newspaper that the company is rethinking its plans to open a second plant in the United States.
Here's the money quote, if you'll pardon the pun.
Given an unchanged tariff burden, he said, large additional investment cannot be funded.
The existing VW plant in Chattanooga, by the way, employs about 5,000 people.
