He had a kidney disease that he's had since 2006, needed a kidney transplant.

One of the best dudes ever, and four kids, and he and I would text all the time about kids and fatherhood, and he was just the best.

You could see it, too, on the internet, the amount of people who considered Nick Mangold a friend.

was really a testament to how great of a guy he was because it was just outpouring of people from everywhere being like, hey, I was at Ohio State with Nick Mangold.

I was his friend.

I knew him from living in New Jersey with him.

All walks of life.

Just one of those guys that you literally couldn't find a person who didn't love him.

So yeah, it was an emotional day, memes.

And it was hard to see because I thought...

I thought he was going to get a kidney.

Also, just a reminder to people that you should be an organ donor.
