So I grab a towel since I'm unpacking the linens, run downstairs to see if I can help.

I get outside and the foreman comes over to me and just takes the towel and walks back to his mover.

And so I'm at a distance, can't,

Tell yet what has happened, but there's a lot of blood on the ground and he's clearly been cut pretty badly.

So I say, OK, well, there's a hospital right around the corner from where we live.

It's a very big, well-known hospital.

I won't say what it was called.

He hops in the car with me and we're on the way to the hospital.

The injured man hops in the car with you.

Yes.

So his name's Jose.

He hops in the car.

And can you tell where his injury is at?

Yeah.

It's in his hand.

Now I can clearly tell that his hand is wrapped.

He can talk, but he doesn't really have any English and I don't have any Spanish, but he's clearly in pain, just rocking back and forth, making a lot of noise.

We get to a red light and he manages to say, do you think they can put back?

And I said, what back?

Oh, no.
