I'm not sure if either of you have come across this book by Dan Wong called Breakneck.
But the premise is basically America is a society of lawyers and China is a society of engineers.
And if you look at the members of the Politburo over the last 50 years, 90% of them are engineers versus 80% of all U.S.
presidents are lawyers.
I know, I was going to say.
I was going to say that.
I mean, his sort of conundrum that he lays out was he lived in China and he left because he found it, you know, he basically found his lack of freedom there was too oppressive.
He couldn't get the books he wanted, et cetera, et cetera.
But you see, there's a difference in the United States.
If you look out of your window year on year, like the newest, most innovative thing you might see is a new coffee shop.
Whereas in China, you see a whole new city emerging, you know, out of your window.
