Again, nobody wanted this regime to disappear more than I did.

I was very, very keen at the outset of the conflict thinking, you know, this... I don't think I was overly hopeful.

It wasn't like I thought, okay, we're going to drop some munitions and suddenly the people of Iran are going to rise up and it's all going to work very well.

It was always going to be rather messy.

But...

You know, it would have been great to see this regime gone.

I would love to see them gone in terms of long term stability in the region, prosperity for all the Gulf states, the betterment of the Iranian people.

get rid of this regime, carve it out of existence.

But to your point, you mentioned they may have rushed into things.

I think there was a misinterpretation in the early days of this as to how this might go.

And in fact, the White House was talking about how this could take just days, right?

Yeah.

Well, so what do you think in terms of the likelihood we've got to see this?

If it holds, we have a 60 day period of time during the course of this memorandum of understanding or the ceasefire, this pause in the conflict.

I mean, how do you view that 60-day period of time, which seems a little arbitrary given how long it takes to get anywhere with the Iranian regime?

Do you anticipate anything meaningful coming out of it?

Because we haven't even touched on the issue of their nuclear program, which at the outset was sort of top of mind from the White House perspective.
