Or I wonder how they came up with that.
And it's interesting to hear what the process is.
typically is for people to come up with great ideas.
George Newman's been my guest.
He's an associate professor at the Rotman School of Management, and he's author of a book called How Great Ideas Happen, The Hidden Steps Behind Breakthrough Success.
And there's a link to his book at Amazon in the show notes.
George, it's been a pleasure.
Thanks.
Cool, Mike.
Thanks so much for having me.
Does kissing actually burn calories?
Yeah, a little.
Probably not as many as you've heard.
According to health experts, a simple kiss burns about 2 to 3 calories per minute, while more passionate kissing can burn up to 5 to 26 calories a minute, depending on how hot and heavy things get.
But kissing isn't just about calories.
Research shows it can lower stress, improve mood, strengthen emotional bonds, and trigger the release of feel-good hormones like oxytocin and dopamine.
Exchanging saliva also exposes you to your partner's harmless microbes, which may help keep your immune system alert.
So while kissing probably won't replace your workout, it can genuinely be good for your physical and emotional health, which is a pretty good bonus.
And that is something you should know.
