That violates Article 2 of the Constitution, which gives the President, the Commander-in-Chief, all executive power. He is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer. He's the Chief Magistrate. He is the head of our foreign affairs.

And judges cannot order the President to negotiate. When the El Salvadorian president was in the Oval Office, was a judge going to go in there and mediate the negotiation of this El Salvadorian MS-13 gangbanger who got sent home? I don't think that's going to work.

Look, the federal judiciary, these judges have a modest but crucial role is to decide cases or controversies of the parties before them with redressable claims. Nothing more, nothing less. It's really important. If we didn't have a judiciary, we would end up in tribalism. We need to have a forum to resolve our disputes. But these judges wear robes, not capes.
