Sam Altman's family office and Coinbase co-founder Brian Armstrong are backing this company, Preventive, which, as you mentioned, is conducting preclinical research to attempt to create a baby from a genetically engineered embryo to prevent a hereditary disease.

Behind the scenes, the company has told people that a couple had already been identified who was interested in participating in the research.

What can you tell us?

Brian Armstrong, the Coinbase co-founder, floated a plan to produce this baby in secret.

That's like a horror movie.

I will say a spokesperson for Armstrong told us that he floated that plan only in order to point out what a bad idea it was.

And he would never suggest that preventive operate in that way.

Well, and to that point, I'm just curious who has a seat at the table at the White House right now in terms of the discussions about what the path forward ahead looks like on this because from the people that I've seen appointed, the David Sachs of the world,

I don't know if Warren Posse got a seat at that table.
