There's so many different permutations of how teams could make it, whether it's being third or second in the Metro or being a wildcard team or maybe being third in the Atlantic, that it's hard to figure how it's all going to shake out.

I just thought this, that the Canadians who have been sort of comfortable and celebrated and exciting and all things going great.

are now tied for eighth.

They're also tied for third, but they're tied for eighth in their division, which is perilously close to being out of the playoffs, which is something they haven't even thought about for a long time.

Except, if I'm not mistaken, Florida's pick is top 10 protected.

Not top 5 protected.

So, much more comfortable for picking up the odd point for Florida compared to Toronto.

But, I digress.

If you're Edmonton, I think the whole year has been frustrating.

Everything about it has felt harder, not connected, holes in games, whack-a-mole, you try to fix a goal, you get another goal, you try to fix a defenseman, you're changing coaches, you're doing a lot of different things trying to get this team to play the way that everyone sort of assumed that they would be able to find at some point.

Even if we give them a pass, I think a lot of people did for 40 games because of the two consecutive finals and the fatigue and maybe the Olympics.

But at some point, the assumption, they'll figure it out because they've been really good.

They'll be really good again.

And now with dry saddle hurt, what are the chances of them being really good in the regular season?

Not.

It's not good.
