It's all about cold air and the moisture getting together.
And that doesn't happen very often at this latitude.
But tomorrow, for several hours, that will happen.
We'll start with rain this evening with temperatures in the 50s.
Overnight, temperatures continue to cool down as the Arctic front comes in.
And then along about sunrise, the rain will change to snow.
It will be wet snow.
The advisory, a half an inch.
Maybe some spots get an inch.
The only place it's really going to accumulate are car tops, the metal surfaces, which chill down fast, and on these grassy surfaces in the area.
The Georgia DOT is not doing any preps.
They're not going to brine the roadways today because temperatures when it's snowing will stay above freezing, just above freezing, and the rain would wash the brine away.
