And I'm like, how the hell would I know?
Like, I don't know what the next session is going to look like.
I have no idea how many sessions it's going to be.
And they're like, huh?
And they're like, oh, I kind of want to know if it's 8 or 12 or whatever.
I'm like, I can't tell you, right?
Unless I have to, I can't tell you.
And it's because I don't really know where things are going to end.

But I think that we can both have a shining star, a direction that we go, but also be focused on the options that are in front of the characters now that are letting them do really interesting things.
Those to me, that's really the fun bit.
And for me as a GM, it's extremely rewarding to play that way because I don't know where the story is going.
I'm enjoying it as much as they are.
And that's what's really fascinating when you get away from kind of having a clear picture of the path that the characters are going to go and the scenes that they're going to do to get there and all the adventures are going to have.
For me, it's way more fun to watch how things go differently.
That's what I find really exciting.
