Theoretically, if the magnetics are lined up correctly, it's an easy pull off drop back on.
Say you're out hunting in an area where you don't want to leave the firearm in the vehicle, but you know dang well what happens if you take the optic in and bring it back out.
Pop the optic off in the vehicle.
When you get back out in the morning, bring the firearm out, pop the optic on, and away you go.
