And then I was like, I really like it.

And then 2013 is when I made history.
And I was the first ever black American world champion in the history of fencing.
And I think if I didn't lose, I don't know if I'd ever win.
Which is a weird thing to kind of say, but I think it's pretty poignant.
And I think it is very important for just your character.
And just trying to be as humble and even-keeled as you can.
Because I never really understand some athletes who reach a certain peak and they just change who they are.
